Nigel Watkins Clinic
Next weekend, January 30th & 31st
Nigel Watkins, from Wales, will be hosting a herding clinic in Zephyr, TX.
Nigel is one of Wales’ most consistent and top performing sheepdog handlers. He is a 12-time member of the Welsh National team, a Welsh National Champion and Reserve World Champion. Over the years Nigel has trained many top dogs and he has an uncanny knack of finding the right dogs for himself and others. Having competed at the highest level, Nigel has a wealth of knowledge and experience to share, and he does so by teaching clinics and judging sheepdog trials around the globe.
Clinic Info:
Come Saturday or Sunday or Both
$75 per day / per dog
$20 per day to audit
All levels of dog or handler welcome
Begins at 8:00am
THCSDA will provide beverages…Pot-Luck lunch – bring something to share

Dry Creek SDT Update
Don’t Miss the Dry Creek Stock Dog Trial next weekend!
January 23rd & 24th.
Today – Friday the 15th is the deadline to enter…. please email JoAnne Noble jnoble@gvtc.com by end of today to let her know the entry is in the mail. We will not be able to add on last minute entries or allow for day of exhibitions.
This is a FULL two day trial – Saturday we begin:
7:00 AM Handlers meeting…..7:15 AM First dog at the post.
If you would like to walk the course, please do it on Friday or before 7:15AM
We will not be stopping for a group lunch break… concessions will be sold on site and will start at 6:30 am and run until the trial is over. Click for menu.
Campers, Handlers, and Spectators: Please read Rules of the Ranch and Please adhere to all posted signs.
SATURDAY PARTY:
Join us for a bonfire jam session up at the Noah house
Bring your guitars, voices, food and drinks to share, and a chair.
It’s going to be a great time for all!!!

The Texas Hill Country Stock Dog Association (THCSDA) is the largest organized all breed sheepdog association in the southwest. Established in 1996, the THCSDA was developed to create an interest and understanding in the breeding, working, training & trialing of stock dogs.
The THCSDA hosts multiple trials, clinics, and events throughout the year. We support all breeds and all venues of the herding world and we welcome all levels of enthusiasts in our membership, from the household pet lover to the National bound future champions!
