There will be a Scottish Highland Games and Festival going on during the trial on the Helotes Community Center grounds. The rodeo arena is located just behind the Community Center. Free parking at rodeo arena grounds behind festival grounds, $1.00 parking fee on festival ground. If you park on the festival grounds you will have to walk through the festival to the trial.
From San Antonio:
Take Loop
1604 (northwest San Antonio) to Bandera Road (Hwy 16). Go Northwest on Bandera
towards Bandera, TX. Turn left at Leslie Road
(the 2nd stop light). Turn left at the first light onto the festival grounds
(across from entrance to Sandra Day O'Connor H.S.). Back entrance to rodeo
grounds are on road just past Community Center. Turn left, go a couple hundred
feet and turn left onto rodeo grounds, drive up to arena. Watch
for
signs.
From the north on I-10:
In Boerne
on Interstate 10 take exit #543 Cascade Caverns /Boerne Stage Rd Exit. Turn right
on Boerne Stage Rd, go 5.5 miles to intersection
(Rose Palace arena and Scenic Loop Cafe at intersection). Continue straight
on Scenic Loop Rd., go 7 miles to Bandera Rd (Hwy 16), turn left on Bandera Rd
(Hwy
16)
go 1.8
mi and turn right on Leslie Rd. Turn left at the first light onto the festival
grounds (across from entrance to Sandra Day O'Connor H.S.). Back entrance
to rodeo grounds are on road just past Community Center. Watch for signs.
